Dressage, an Olympic sport, is closer than ever
to breaking through to the top. Owing to hundreds
of years of effective breeding, Germany has dominated
the sport for decades, followed closely by The Netherlands
and Denmark. From Summervale Farm in Washington,
U.S.A., comes H.S. Wistar; proof of exciting progress
that American breeding has caught up. In six years
at the reins of Jennifer Schrader-Williams, Wistar
has earned participation in the 2005 and 2006 U.S.
finals at Gladstone, NJ, one of the
qualifiers for the Olympics, World Equestrian Games
and the Pan Am Games.
