Update 10/09
“I have enclosed a couple of pictures from the Pinehurst Fall Dressage show, probably our last USDF show this year. He's such a character--I really don't think I've ever worked with a horse with so much personality. Scores all 67+% to 69+%, with a "9" on his walk in one test, and "8s" on gaits in all tests. I again had one judge (Sarah Geike, S) come out of the box to tell me how wonderful he is--she said his canter was tremendous, especially since it clearly wasn't developed yet, and another judge (Jan Jacobsen, R) ask me about his breeding (she gave me the "9").
Next week I have a 2 day clinic with Cesar Parra, which I am really excited about. I ride with him again in November as well.
So thanks again for bringing along such a wonderful horse, and to Charlene for her breeding program. I am very excited for next season, since I think by then we'll really have it together.”

Update:8/2010
"Hi Jennifer,
Congratulations on your grant--I am SUPER jealous because I am a huge Catherine Haddad fan (and was just watching her onDressageTrainingOnline.com this evening).
Bravo is simply awesome. He just keeps getting better and better. We're schooling all the Second level movements now (I hope to sneak in a Second level class in the late fall), and the lateral work is so easy for him. I've found another "gear" in his trot recently, making it just as nice as his walk and canter, and his rideability is slowly but steadily improving as well.
We are qualified for the GAIG/USDF Region 1 Finals this November at Training level, First level, and First level Musical Freestyle. We've had scores to 71+% at both First 4 and our MFS, and scores to 74+% at Training 4 this season, and we're currently in the top 10 USDF Amateur at Training and First, and I think 12th in MFS. Needless to say, regardless of how the rest of the season shakes out (I always tend to choke at the Finals), I'm quite happy with our training and success this year!
And WOW! They just posted the All-Breeds standings. Bravo is top at Training and First in both open and AA divisions!
Of course, there are photos:
March Magic Dressage
Dressage in the Sandhill
s
Capital Dressage Classic
And, of course, Bravo's other job ;)
I will update you after the finals this fall. Hopefully I'll be able to ride there like it was "any other test"!
Good luck and thanks for asking about us!"
Robyn

Alegra
Sold to Dana J. Miller-Blair of Carmichael, CA 9/2007
Dana you are going to love working with the sweet mare. Best of luck!
Update: 8/2010
She is doing great! My life has been rather chaotic the past 18 months but I ride about 5 days a week. I have not been showing her due
to lack of time and focus with all else going on. My riding is improving steadily and she is a great partner- she is beautiful and capable
and accepting and patient with my learning. My trainer absolutely loves her – I think she is her favorite horse that she works with.
I had her approved Holsteiner – primarily for USDF breed awards- this was before life got in the way of showing her. She was one of
the top mares at the inspection- they loved her.

Update: 1/2010
"Stephanie and Pernod recieved their silver medal this year and will compete Intermediare this coming season. Pernod has been such a gift and we all love him."

Update: 8/2010
"Good Morning Jennifer, Steph and I have been meaning to write and send some photos. It has been a whirlwind three years with Pernod. Steph pretty much did what she set out to do.This past year she earned her silver medal. This show season she began Int I. She and Pernod received a 66.84 Int I at the June show from Paramjeet Chopra. August 7, 2010 she and Pernod received a 68.158 Int I from Debbie Riehl-Rodriguez ! We are all so proud of Stephanie and Pernod. He is an amazing athlete with this loving personality (and a little bit of spice of course!)
At the end of August Stephanie heads for Trinity College in Hartford CT. I will take over with Pernod continuing to train with Linda Hosoi. I feel very sad for Pernod because I know he thinks Steph is his best friend."
Waleishka "Shika"
Sold to Emma Jacobson of Cornelius, OR

Update: 9/2007
"Shika and I were in the USDF Team Championships. We got a 60.4% and a 62.14% for Training Level 3 and 4 (a kid hid behind the judges booth and popped out when Shika went by...not a very nice thing!) Our team got bronze in our division, and I placed at least 10th individually."

These two will train in Dressage and work up the levels together. 5/2007

The pair earned a 70.857% in their First 3 and when that was averaged with their First 4 score of 69.737% it was good enough for a Reserve championship. Way to go Liz!

Winslett
Sold to Patrice Tipton of Norco, CA
Patrice will pursue dressage training with Nicki McGinnis. Best of Luck Patrice! 6/2007
Update:8/2010
Winslett is now doing 3rd level dressage with my trainer Nicki McGinnis aboard. He is still in full training with Nicki. I have attached a copy of Winsletts show record from the AHA website so you can view his achievements. This only includes his USDF rated shows. As you can see he has been doing well and is steadily moving up the levels. Nicki is still working to teach Winslett to sit more on his haunches to elevate his front end for moving up the levels. If you know of anyone that might be interested please give them my contact information. I have lowered Winsletts asking price to $10,000
I will take a look through the rest of my pictures of Winslett at home and send you some more that you can use. I have attached one photo that a friend of mine took at our last CDS show last month. And a couple that were taken in 2008 by TMA Photography at the Fiesta Del Mar show for which I bought the rights to use the pictures for publications and sales ads. Nicki is aboard Winslett in all 3 of these photos.
Best regards,
Patrice
